Clemson University
Principal Investigator:
Dr. Haiying Liang Dr. Liang’s research laboratory is focused on the genomics and biotechnology of hardwood species. Her team is constructing the framework genetic linkage map for tulip poplar, as well as performing stress treatments, RNA extraction and cDNA synthesis for transcriptome sequencing. This NSF grant is helping to support a technical specialist (Tao Xu) for the first two years of the project and a Ph.D. graduate student (to be recruited in the summer of 2011) for four years.
