Description | Olea europaea, also known as the common olive, is an evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region and is one of the oldest tree to be cultivated by humans. They typically grow to 20-30 feet in height and has no serious insect or disease problem. Olea europaea has massive economic value, its fruit is primarily used in olive oil (hence the name), olives are also used in many other food dishes around the world.
